openwrt linksys wrt54gs v7 - XoilacTV

Unfortunately, I considered installing OpenWRT long after its support was dropped (due to its small ROM size). I consider an old-ish version of OpenWRT to be better than ancient factory firmware, but I am unable to get Chaos or Barrier to compile.

Just thought I would ask and I am pretty sure I know the answer (as per the DD-WRT site below and OpenWRT has no mention) but will the WRT54G V7 ever be supported. WARNING The WRT54G v7 uses an Atheros AR2317 chip, has 2MB ROM, 8MB RAM and runs VxWorks.

Just wondered if anyone has any experience at all fiddling with OpenWRT on the Linksys WRT54G v7? Since this is the first WRT54*-box with an Atheros-chipset, does anyone have any opinion about if it'll work getting an AR7 build (or something) on it?
